Consult your normal hairdresser. He/She, having worked with your hair in the past will know what styles will suit both your face shape and your style the best. Ask for suggestions and then have a few trial runs to see what you like best.
you can duff something like a ';duff puff'; where your hair is teased at the back, and it is all puffy.. its really nice. Jessica simpson uses it alot, i dont have a picture so im sorry.

I think a low, side ponytail with lots of big, long curls is very flattering to a heart-shaped face, especially if your wedding dress is strapless. I too also have long, naturally wavy hair. I am going to wear my hair half up and half down. I have a sleeveless dress. For a strapless dress, hair all up would look good. Actually, anyway you want looks good. I also took into account the way my fiance likes my hair styled, which is down. My hair is really thick too, so at least half up, it won't bother me so much and it will still be down for him. HTH!

Right now my hair is a goldish red, slightly wavy (but I am obsessed with my CHI straightner), and past my shoulders. Recently, I have decided i want to cut it short, between my jawline and my shoulders. My face is sort of heart shaped: i have a narow chin and a wide forehead and high cheek bones. I kind of want it to be layered and razored at the ends. Do you have any reccomendations?

I know wat you mean, i have short goldish red hair , a wide forhead and high cheek bones also, I usually have my hair pinned in the back but have long bangs in the front with a hair band on my head. You could also have 2 long pieces of your hair next to your bangs (kind of like a japanese style) or just wear your hair down and part it on the side and let it kinda form your face. With your face stucture , japanese type hairstyles will fit you the best.
Wow, your hair sounds so beautiful! (Jealous :)). Go for it! It sounds really great. I like when people have short little bobs and a chiseled face which it sounds like you have. Depending on what you like and your style, consider the side bangs. If you think it will look a bit 'wannabeeish' (this look only works for very distinctive faces) then don't. But go with your instincts! I've seen many models and un-models with it who look GREAT! Just to consider. You can probably look it up. It sort of cuts on an angle above or near the eye depending on how long you want. I think it would probably look good on you. I'm not a huge fan of layering. (Depending on the denseness and thickness of your hair). I find it looks choppy on short-dos. Simpler looks pretty! Razored might be cool though. Good luck!

Don't have any pics but if you use hair straightners it can create different looks. You can have it coming out at the bottom or turned in. If the straightners are thin they can also be used to give some slight waves.

buy those soft curlers and sleep in them. it is soooo easy and you save so much time in the morning. you just take them out and only brush the top of your hair otherwise you brush right through the curls. then use hairspray, not mousse. ive found that a great brand of hairspray is matrix hairspray. and for looser, messier curls, you separate each curl in two. it is a more casual, less shirley temple look.
then for waves, sleep in braids. (the number depending on how wavy you want your hair. i would probably recommend about eight or so) then you just take them out in the morning and just brush the top of your hair. you can use hairspray, but i usually dont need it, but then again, my hair holds waves really well......
and if you shower in the morning, scrunch your hair with mousse and it looks pretty good but might get a little frizzy.
and to get a curled, more voluminous ponytail, here is what you do. just put your hair up in a ponytail before bed, then put anywhere from 1-3 curlers in it (depending on how much hair you have and how thick it is and how big you want your curls) then when you wake up, roll them right out, and re-tie your ponytail holder and brush the top of your head, without brushing down the curls. you can put hairspray in if you want, but you might not even need to for just a ponytail.
and as for just regular hairstyles, i would try sidebangs or whispy bangs instead of thick ones......dont know ....

Hey, I have long, thick and curly hair and its starting to drive me crazy! Its very humid where I live so that makes it even worse. I've been getting rats nests like crazy and I think I'm ready for a short do. So, ya'll with short hair, what are some good cuts that take little to no work in the morning and stay out of your face? Methotrexate(injectable chemo)and severe Dermatomyositis is getting to me.I need a short-short hair style...?
that won't be on my neck or (probably) my ears. I have a fat face from the other meds, and don't want to look TOO badly! It hurts me WAY too much to wash my shoulder-length hair, and right now I refuse to comb it because of how badly my skin hurts. plus with having to take so long to clean my hair, it makes my muscles and EVERYTHING else hurt more, so I've decided, although I love my shoulder-length curly brown hair, and I know I will look terrible with my fat face, that I can't take it anymore and it's time to cut it. =-( .
what do you suggest?
My hair is capable of being easily straight, if you have straight styles.

it sounds gay but you can upload your own picture and do stuff to it that makes you over long hairstyles short hairsyles all shades, styles and colors ( you can see what you would like with a different eye color... and you can try different shades and colors of lipgloss eyeliners eye shadows and whiter teeth) seriously check it out its the real deal not some dumb barbie graphics and its really really easy (i do it with my picture all the time when im bored.... and my boyfreinds lol shhh! dont tell) Good luck

Hi I am 19 and in college and I am finally going to cut my hair after going my whole highschool with my long shaggy look. But I dont know how to get it cut I wear a beanie about 22 hours out of the day anyways lol but in a couple weeks I wont be able to anymore at work. so it is pushing my motivation to find a shorter hair style I am happy with can anyone offer some suggestions. that won't be on my neck or (probably) my ears. I have a fat face from the other meds, and don't want to look TOO badly! It hurts me WAY too much to wash my shoulder-length hair, and right now I refuse to comb it because of how badly my skin hurts. plus with having to take so long to clean my hair, it makes my muscles and EVERYTHING else hurt more,
so I've decided, although I love my shoulder-length curly brown hair, and I know I will look terrible with my fat face, that I can't take it anymore and it's time to cut it. =-( .

i accidently cut my hair kinda short, but only on one side (because i didnt want to do the other side and further screw it up.)
so for right now (until it grows out or i fix it) im stuck in ponytails...which i hate because my ears stick out pretty far....(a fact that my dear friends never let me forget)

I can't even tell that your ears stick out, it looks fine when they're covered up. The short and piecey hairstyle is kinda cute, but it would look cuter in a lighter brown. Very spring, don't change the cut!

You can still have that style, but even if you lengthen just one side, or couple pieces each side and back, it will give you that extra illusion that will enhance your face by lengthening the look and taking away from the roundness. Best suggestion I have is go down to one of the many wig shops in the malls and try a similar style wig on. Definitely helps you decide. Sort of like buying eye glasses - they look good on the rack but a lot of time they don't look good on the face.

So, basically I've had long hair for the past 5 years...and now It is just time for a change. I've let it grow out really far this time and so I promised my girlfriend we could go together and get it cut. My question is does anyone have any good suggestions for a short style, but still have some length so that you could style it with a little bit of gel if wanted for work or anything. I just got my hair cut (My hairdresser cut it WAY shorter than I wanted) and I want to find a cute way to wear it without putting it down? (It looks horrible down--- or at least to me because all my life my hairs been down to the middle of my chest and I asked her to make it a little below the shoulders but its above my shoulders with a gap between my shoulders and the hair)

I have been geling my hair for years and Ive never been happy with it. It usually poofs or frizzes up if I dont use gel, and when I use hair gel it still frizzes a little and becomes hard and shiny and still doesn't look good. Ive used a lot of different hair products and they all have the same effect on my hair, what would i have to do to get the sides of my hair to go straight down without making them look gel'd? here are some pictures of what id like

Any ideas for a short hair style?
Okay, my poor waist length hair is getting too split endy to be healthy, so I'm going to have to cut it and take better care of it. Any way, I'm looking for a short hair style since I kinda want shoulder length hair (no shorter or else it will take too long to grow out and long hair is my ultimate goal). I have pretty curly hair, though during the winter or with a really good straightener it can get straight. (View yahoo answers picture thing for colour). Any way, I need suggestions. I'm going for something low maintenance (except for bangs), and something that can fit my style which is very unique :) (it's hippie/gothic lolita/scene). I don't want something typically scene because there is no way I can get my hair like that.

My stylist said just dont go above your chin when you get it cut.

Number 1, Number 5, Number 6...I say 1 because I have the same face shape and had straight hair to my back and I just cut it.....I love it and get soooo many compliments..Plus my hair is dark too! Go for it!

I always wear my hair the same way, and I'm getting kind of bored with it. Usually I would of dyed it by now to spice things up, but I have made a resolution not to dye my hair anymore.
I want to change it up a bit, by STYLING it. No cut or color! I would like to try something a bit funky, like P!nk usually does her hair. I don't want it to be too funky. I am a college student, and would like a style I can wear to class. Below is a link to see pictures.

Your short hair style is cute. Its not too high maintenance (which just makes men look vain) but it takes some looking after.
That one is cute. Your longer hair is not (in my opinion).
My advice is to stick with a very simple style that can be changed slightly but remains consistent. So it stays normal to your own individual style and doesn't drastically change too much.
Maybe just trim it a bit but don't really change it. You will look like your trying too hard.

Well right now my hair is around 7-8 in. long (about down to my neck), light brown, naturally curly/wavy, and pretty much fried from straightening it everyday. It's time for a hair cut!
I had my hair short (2-3 in.) for a long time around 2 years ago. I really liked it and want to go back to that. I HATE curly hair, and really like it when it's straight. But when it's short, I can't straighten it. What can I do to get my hair to be straight all the time?

i had long black hair and i dyed it peroxide blonde and it all fell apart.
its now very short, peroxide blonde and a pink side fringe.. i cant do much with it and im not even able to put wax in it.. im not used to it, only got the cut yesterday..
its not long enough to do anything but maybe a small mohican/mohawk.. i could probably straighten a few bits too

i am in the wedding party, and i dont have alot of money so i planned on doing my hair on my own. i have short hair, not able to pull it back. I have found a style i like. but dont know how to do it. also thinking maybe 40s type curls. suggestions and pics would be great.
