it can`t cost more than sixty dollars though. What is a good ceramic hair straightener?

the first answer is the one id go by too the ones at sallys are just as good as the ones at the salon....nice and cheap too about thirty dollars maybe a little more.
i've heard CHI is the best...I'm about to get mine soon. ANyway they're regular price is anywhere from 150-200 but you can find it for sale around 80-90. seriously it will be worth it because you'll have it for a while and plus you dont wanna spend 30-40 dollars on some flat iron thats not garanteed to work.
conair has a really good one. it is the wet2dry and about $30.00 and works really well. No frizz and no smell of burning hair.
I've been through 4 straighteners and I finally found the perfect one (for me at least).

It's from Remington and it costed about 40 euros,so I believe you can find it for 45-50 dollars tops!

Whatever you choose,go for a brand name that offers guarantee and full service.

Don't buy the cheap anonymus stuff that may stop working after a month, and most important, that will damage your hair by frying it!

It's better to spend a bit more once, than damaging your hair and buying a new straightener every other month.

Looking for a good ceramic hair straightener?

I don't want a big chunky one and i don't have a lot of money to spend. any suggestions? thanks everybody !!Looking for a good ceramic hair straightener?

Well this sounds really dumb but i got a realy good Conair breast cancer steightener and it was like only $25.00 at

wal-mart.lol it works really good and it small and it heats up in like 30 seconds

Yes, I do have them. I loved it because it is so easy to use. They dont damage my hair. THey have temperature control included so you can start from low to see if it works on your hair, if not, increase the temperature to make your hair straighten.

It is under www.purebeautyline.com Again, I wont buy anything in regular stores. I refused because they have been damaged my hair. I rather to pay this for 260 dollars than 15 dollars where they dont last longer with warranty plus damaged my hair. I prefer this ECO ProfCermanic Hair Straigthener

I wouldn't recommend it. I bought one, doesn't straighten like the one used on my hair by the sales person. Claims to have a lifetime warranty but warranty information can be found on Internet, same registration number as mine. Contacted company via e-mail and by phone, NO RESPONSE. BUYER BEWARE

As a stylist, I have used a lot of flat irons/hair straighteners, including Sedu, Hai, Infrashine, Chi, Paul Mitchell, Solia, Big Sexy, Andis, Babyliss Ghd, T3, Kenta etc. You should get a Professional hair straightener, they style much better and faster, and most importantly, they protect your hair.

=== Tips for buying professional hair appliances ===

Do NOT buy professional hair appliances from unauthorized places like amazom.com, eBay, Target, Walmart, etc. Because if you do, manufacturers will refuse to honor the warranty. Buy from licensed places like salon, licensed professional beauty stores like Folica.com, Ulta.com, West Coast Beauty Supply Inc. etc
    No. i can't say I have.

    Check google, and search it.

If there is I bet you can find it on E-bay or amazon.com.
No for Eco.......but I have heard extensively that ceramic DEFINITELY DAMAGES YOUR HAIR LESS, so go for what ceramic iron you can afford.

CERAMIC PRICE DIFFERENCES ARE HUGE, FOR NOT A LOT OF DIFFERENCE IN EFFECT.

    Good luck!
Nope! Sorry, i tried searching it on Google images, but nothing came up called ';Eco professional ceramic hair straightener';.

Can anyone give me reviews on the Solia Ceramic Hair Straightener?

I read really good customer reviews online, but unfortunately these reviews were on sites that sold the product. Also, if you know where to get it at a low price, that would be great. Thanks! Can anyone give me reviews on the Solia Ceramic Hair Straightener?

How should I clean my ceramic hair straightener?

Mix arm and hammer baking soda with a little shampoo or soap and water to make a paste (unplug iron!) dip wash cloth in mixture and rub iron blades. The baking soda will dissolve the product buildup.Be sure not to use too much moisture when doing this.Use the rest of the mixture to clean your brushes and combs!Good luck to you.How should I clean my ceramic hair straightener?
Use a little alcohol and wipe it off. The product build up should come off easily.

Oh, and use a lint free cloth. The lint from a paper towel will burn the next time you use it. Allow it to dry completely (over night before the next use) and it should evaporate completely.

Most of the commercial ones use mainly alcohol anyway. How should I clean my ceramic hair straightener?
For a quick fix you could simply use rubbing alcohol but make sure to wipe it off with water after that.

If you want a really good clean go to a beauty supply shop (In my city we have one called Sally's Beauty Supply)

So if you have a place like that they actually sell flat iron cleaner and I think it is pretty cheap maybe 2 or 3 dollars tops. I've used it and it works very well.
i was wondering the same thing, what about any kind of hair straightener?
when ya find out, tell me!!

Do any of you gals use Corioliss Pro Ceramic Hair straightener?

I use the Corioliss Pro Ceramic Hair straightener (the pick one) %26amp; my hair has been falling out *sad face*!! It has Tourmaline ceramic plate which is supposed to protect your hair. Do any of you gals use this hair straightener?Do any of you gals use Corioliss Pro Ceramic Hair straightener?
Hey, I have the pink one.. bought it last year (not from the mall either, but on ebay and it is the actual one too). No, it doesn't make my hair fall out, BUT if you clamp the iron down on your hair too hard and then pull down to straighten then YES your hair will fall (pull) out. don't do that. Hair sheds everyday, so if its just a normal amt dont worry but if u are getting WAY too much hair falling out then i dunno what to tell you. Do you even out anything in your hair first before straightening? like a serum or mopisturizer? Thats what protects your hair from the headt, cuz if u dont protect it then guess what you're hairs gonna fry off. My iron doesnt even have a temperature adjustment it has 1 heat setting which is 210掳C and that is hot.... hotter than boiling.Do any of you gals use Corioliss Pro Ceramic Hair straightener?
yes and it's horrible. go to a salon and find yourself a Wigo or a CHI, spendy yes. but WEELLLLL worth it. the Wigo runs between 40 - 80 dollars and the CHI's are usually between 80 - 150, ask if they can special order it for you if they don't have them in stock.
If your hair has been falling out its best to not add any heat to it. Try to wear it as natural as possible. Yes, the hair straightner does work, but it weakens the hair and breaks it a little...

What's the best way to clean my ceramic hair straightener?

when i bought mine, the sales lady told me it can be cleaned by alcohol. What's the best way to clean my ceramic hair straightener?
hi i am a hair dresser and the best way to clean a ceramic straightener is to turn it on ane let it heat up,

then turn it off and while it is still warm wipe over the ceramic plate with a warm cloth. this will remove any product build up

but be careful not to burn yourself!! hope this helps!!What's the best way to clean my ceramic hair straightener?
After evey time i use mine i normally get a clean rag with a very small amount of ';Simple Green'; on it and I whipe my flat iron down. Then I find a clean area of the rag with no cleaner on it and I damp the rag with hot water to make sure all the simple green is off my flat iron. The i like to whipe my flat iron down one mare time to dry it. Sometimes I will leave it on for a fe minutes after I clean it so everything burns off. Then next time when I use it I turn it on and let it get hot (of course) and the then if anything was left on the iron it has now had the chance to burn all of!!! Im sure you could use any cleaner or even rubbing alcohol..
    bleach
put some alcohol on a cotton ball or somethign similar and wipe it down.. let it dry and i usually wipe it off with a damp cloth too juts to make sure there isnt any alcohol residue.

works great cant really hurt it as long as you dont put too much liquid on it.

  • Problem with my ceramic hair straightener?

I just bought rowenta elite hair styler it consists of curler and straightener however when i straighten my hair and curl it , after less than one hr it is notstraight anymore and the curl is gone and i am back to my old. Can anyone help me cos i am goin to prom night tomorrow and wanted to straighten my hair.Problem with my ceramic hair straightener?
well it isnt the straightener, it s your hair, you must have very fine hair like me i have the same problem, try putting mousse or hairspray in your hair when its wet, and brush it while you blow dry, it should be straighter after that, then use the straightener, then add more spray, that should do the trick, and a trim might help. if you have split ends then your hair will frizz out more..Problem with my ceramic hair straightener?
    I have a ceramic straighener.

It smells kinda like clay, like those flower pots.

have fun at prom night though! That's strange that it's in fall, ours are always in spring.
Hmm I would straighten your hair in the afternoon, and then at night when your getting ready for the prom.

Then add a light mist of hairspray to keep it in! Hope I helped!
After you curl use hair spray. It hold the hair for hours.you can also buy straightning serum from stores.
I have the same problem, try using a straight hair spray, and hair heating protection.... But to be honest it last only a little more, ceramic its badd...
WELL THAT ALWAYS USED TO HAPPEN TO ME. IF YOU WANT UR HAIR STRAIGHT AND TO STAY STRAIGHT YOU HAVE TO BUY A CHI STRAIGHTNER. THEY TAKE 3 MINUTES TO DO YOU HAIR
u big dummie if you dont put some hair hardener in der to keep yo curls !

How can i fix my ceramic hair straightener by hot tools?

i forgot to turn it opff and i left it on for like 8 hours and now it turns on but won't get hot.Can anyone suggest anyways to fix my straightener? How can i fix my ceramic hair straightener by hot tools?

also, do i have to use hair serum before i use it. i was told if get one with a comb, i can make my hair wavy/straight. my hair is naturally straight. How to use a ceramic hair straightener with a comb?
No do not use serum before, use it afterwards.

The one with the comb is usually the good one. I did have good experience with it.

Has anyone ever used a GS professional wet to dry ceramic hair straightener? ?

I bought this yesterday at Trade Secrets and am having second thoughts. I haven't found anything about it on the internet which raises a red flag. Unfortunately, I found stamped on the receipt that it can be exchanged only and not returned. Has anyone ever used a GS professional wet to dry ceramic hair straightener? ?
no i have not i have GHD and its the bestHas anyone ever used a GS professional wet to dry ceramic hair straightener? ?
In my opinion i would not use it, just because when you think about it you have wet hair and you are going to flat iron your hair with heat. It just is so damaging for your hair, its best always to let your hair air dry (if you can) so you don't do double the damage by drying it and then flat ironing it. I hope it all works out for you. :)

Is a turbo ceramic hair straightener better than a nano ceramic one?

Which one is more healthy for your hair?Is a turbo ceramic hair straightener better than a nano ceramic one?
The nano ceramic one is so much better,it keeps your hair straighter longer, and your hair doesn`t fizzle that bad when it comes back to it`s natural shape.

Go to Folica.com and get the Solia. It's $88+free shipping. You will not regret it. It's an awesome flat iron! I have curly frizzy hair and I live in humid Louisiana, and it straightens my hair perfectly and stays all day! You'll love the Solia I swear, just read the reviews on it on folica.com!!

    chiii

If you go to a beauty supply store with your requirements they will help you pick one out. Just make sure it's actually ceramic and not just plated with ceramic---I made that mistake and the ceramic flaked off.

Good luck---it's worth the money to get the real thing!
i dunno if its ceremic but i LOVE my revlon i think.

i bought mine from walmart just 15$

Go with a Paul Mitchell...They are very Good!

What is the name of the ceramic hair straightener that also curls?

I heard those don't work very well. You can curl slightly with a flat iron. Otherwise I'd use a regular curling iron if you want major curls. What is the name of the ceramic hair straightener that also curls?
Instyler?!What is the name of the ceramic hair straightener that also curls?
Any hair straightener can curl your hair if you know how to do it. The one you are thinking of might be the GHD. They are $300. I bought mine from Big W for $40, it heats up to 250 degrees, I've had it for 2 years, and it curls my hair.

What is the difference between a titanium and ceramic hair straightener?

and which one is most recommended? What is the difference between a titanium and ceramic hair straightener?
Ceramic straightener is better for long-term use. It doesn't damage your hair as much. It straightens your hair faster, therefore using less heat that will damage your hair.

Here is a website I found that will tell you more about it:

    http://www.hairstraightening.net/Ceramic/a>

The ceramic hair straighteners work in a similar way in that they glide easily through the hair with no edges that can catch the hair. They also heat up immediately, well, within 30 seconds. No waiting around for the plates to get to temperature.

They are thermostatically controlled and maintain a constant even heat throughout their use. The fast heating ceramic element gives you full styling control and creates a negative ion charge that seals in moisture, natural oils and hair color for total hair protection. The simple design also makes them very easy to handle, in straightening terms they are pencil thin making them very light and controllable. A red indicator light flashes as power is pulsed to retain an optimum operating temperature.

Ceramic hair straighteners are microscopically smooth and do a much better job of flattening the hair. They also have a more even heat distribution across the plates surface which means that the whole plate is an even temperature. Heat up and cool down quickly which means that the temperature can be controlled better. What is the difference between a titanium and ceramic hair straightener?
    ceramic is better.
ceramic is way better then titanium be-cuz titanium leves your hair frizzy and dont make it look like natural stright but ceramic works awesome i have one and that is like the best strightner ever i perfer you to use ceramic!

I went to a beauty salon and they made my hair curl with a ceramic hair straightener and I've tried doing the same thing at home and I can't.How can I make my hair curl or wavy with a ceramic hair straightener?

Should I buy a new ceramic hair straightener or get my hair professionally colored?

I can't decide between the two and I only have enough money to get one.

i currently have dyed blonde hair and that's why i wanted to get it colored, but i want to go darker brunette (i've always been blonde so this is a big jump)

i also currently have a metal straightener and heard that ceramic is WAY better for your hair.

so its tuff! should i invest in a new ceramic straightener or get my hair professionally colored

u decide!Should I buy a new ceramic hair straightener or get my hair professionally colored?
go for the ceramic straightener, if you have already damaged your hair by dying it, then you are damaging wayyy more than u could b by using a metal flat iron. get your hair colored the next time around.Should I buy a new ceramic hair straightener or get my hair professionally colored?
I would suggest the ceramic straight iron, chi specifically. The chi straight irons cost around $150, but they are totally worth it. I've had mine about 2 years and use it almost daily and it still works great. Another important suggestion i have when using any straight iron be sure to either use a serum or a straighting spray to protect your hair from the heat of the iron.

As far as color I'd sugeest getting some low lights the brown you are thinking of getting to be sure you'll like it and to ease you into the darker color.

    I hope this helps.
I just colored my hair Blonde yet again. And I regret it. I finally have woken up and figured out that Brown is much more flattering and would look better.

    Blonde is overrated.

    Go get your hair colored!
    Get the ceramic starightener

In the long run you would be spending more money dying your hair.

You would more use out of a straighter-daughter of a cosmotologest
    a new ceramic straightener!
go with the straightener. You can always buy a box at the store for 10 dollars to color your hair. There are lots of great brands at the store - I like the one that you can get the hair color and highlights in the same box. Feria is also a great brand.
Maybe you could wait until a ceramic straightner goes on sale at your local beauty store and then buy it and instead of getting your hair professionally colored, you could do it yourself (or have a friend do it) with a kit from the store. If your hair is blonde now Herbal Essences has some great colors that are good for your hair and very inexpensive. And they last just as long as having it done professionally.
i would go with the hair professionally colored because if u have a straightener that will at least do the job for you i think u could wait a while longer for a new one. but it depends if you really want to go brunette, be careful on your decision. :)
deffinatley get your hair dyed instead

you can get a ceramic hair straightener later

they aren't as great as everyone makes it out to be anyway

i went out and got one myself becuase of that very reason

but I found there wasnt that huge of a difference

and was a lil dissapointed since i also sacrificed

doing something else with the money for it.

although it would be good for you to get one eventually

i dont think its really essential to have it right away especially if its a choice between the two..

How do I clean the plates on my ceramic hair straightener?

Which is the best ceramic hair straightener?

I have a Chi right now but it is getting old and the heating element isn't getting as hot as it used to. I was wondering if I should get another chi or is there something better.Which is the best ceramic hair straightener?
I have always wanted a Chi but couldn't afford it so I did research and was recommended to get a Andis. I got a 2 inch Andis from Ebay and am very happy with it so far. I have thick wavy hair and it used to take like an hour with a Vidal Sassoon iron. Now it takes me like 10mins for my whole head. I'd give it a try and if it doesn't work for you, i'd just get another Chi

What is a good ceramic hair straightener that is good with thick hair?

i want a new straightener that can straighten hair quickly without too much damage- for under 100 dollars preferably... tell me where i can find it (in stores not online) and if it is online, tell me the link, and why you recommend it.What is a good ceramic hair straightener that is good with thick hair?
Getting a Chi flat iron is your best bet. You probably won't be able to find one for less than $100. I got mine at Ulta (they sent me a coupon for 20 % off, so I used it on that). They're expensive, but I think they're worth every penny. What is a good ceramic hair straightener that is good with thick hair?
Chi is your best but if you did not want to spend over $100.00 then the next best thing is Jilbe`re de Paris ceramic tool. I have very thick hair and it works great on mine. It runs about $50.00 and I bought mine at Sally's Beauty Supply.
Chi's are the best. You can get one at JCPenney Salon for a little over a hundred.
revlon wet/dry on a higher heat setting

walmart or any other store like that.. i forget how much but its under 50

i have thick hair and i just take it slow going down every peice and it works GREAT
Try Coriollis. You can get them cheaper on eBay; I got mine for $40 shipped. (Normally, it ranges from $100-150.) It's ready for use after a few seconds of it being on, it leaves your hair shiny and very silky, and the results can last up to three days!

If you want to read more about the product here's a link

I am a hairstylist in Utah. I would recommend to you a ';CHI'; iron.

It can be a little higher in price but mine has proven to be worth it to me. My situation was I was going through irons every five to six months but I've had my chi for almost two years and it's still running great. You should be able to ask your stylist and he/she should be able to order one for you. Any higher end salon should also be able to get one in for you. It is a great iron that can tackle almost any type of hair. I hope I've been some help to you, good luck.

    ~STAR~
Hot Tools is the best!!! They are about 40-50 dollars and you can buy them at a beauty supply house or in salons. I love mine and my hair is really really thick. I also am a stylist and I use it on all my clients.
Chi is the best flat-iron you can get. You can buy one at any Trade Secret. The cost is $100.00-$120.00, but well woth it. You don't want to skimp on a flat iron. A cheap one can kill your hair!!!
go to a drug store, and there is hair straightener for like 14 bucks. it worked on my hair and i have really thick hair! if it doesn't work the first time, wait a month then do it again.
Chi is the best. read product revew and comparison

Where can you buy an all ceramic hair straightener? And how much will they Cost?

Ok I have poofy out of control hair, I can get it all nice and curly though, but I want to straighten it once in a while and the straightener I have now is crap for my hair. I heard that and all ceramic straightener is the best and good for poofy hair. Is that true? If so were can I get one? And how much?Where can you buy an all ceramic hair straightener? And how much will they Cost?
i would highly reccomend tha CHI.

    anyone will workk.

i haave tha same kind of hair as youu do and mine workks like a dreaam.

i got my 2nd one about a yr ago, but my first one lastedd mee almost 3 yrss!

i got mine brandd new off of ebay for $60.00. but if you go in a storee there like $100

but well worth itt!Where can you buy an all ceramic hair straightener? And how much will they Cost?
An all ceramic flat iron isn't the best but it's better than most others. A flat iron with ceramic tourmaline plates is the best way to go. A good flat iron will cost you quite a bit especially if you go to a salon to get it. I highly suggest going to folica.com because they have a big selection and really good prices on all there stuff. My favorite flat iron is a Solia and you can get one on there for about $100.

    Hope this helped!

  • Does the conair pink ceramic hair straightener work well?

Does anyone know if it does?

By the way, my hairs already straight but its pretty thick so I just wanna thin it sometimes by straightening it.I don't need the expensive straighteners since I won't be straightening it everyday anyways.Does the conair pink ceramic hair straightener work well?
Yup! My friend has that straightener %26amp; I had to use it when I slept over at her house. Its really smooth and easy on hair. If you were straightening everyday, I;d say get the CHI but since your not this straightener is the best!

Why is a ceramic hair straightener better for your hair than other kinds?

Like a Chi straightener vs. a regular one that you would buy at Target or Wal-Mart? We got one for Christmas and I am trying to convince my sister that it will not fry her hair! Why is a ceramic hair straightener better for your hair than other kinds?
lol the ceramic plate is sleeker and doesnts pull on hair like the other metal kinds and it blocks out the dangerous heatWhy is a ceramic hair straightener better for your hair than other kinds?
Ok so there is this straightener called CORTEX really good full ceramic.. CHI is not full ceramic.. If a straightener is not ceramic then it will make you have split ends and pull your hair and burn it..

I have the CORTEX.. YOu should try it out..

CHI is not full ceramic so if you would like go over it like alot of times it will fry your hair..

    Hope that helps..

    =]]
no matter what any Straightener is going to burn your hair. just use protection for your hair. and there is different types of ceramic like

titanium you can maybe find one a target

but i got mine form ultra and it works great
Because it is better for your hair but the best reason is that it doesnt pull your hair!!!! it doesnt hurt.

Does the CHI Ceramic hair straightener and thermal protection spray work well?

I want to get one of those flat irons and the thermal protection spray.

If anybody has used it, can you tell me if it works against split ends and damaging hair well?Does the CHI Ceramic hair straightener and thermal protection spray work well?
The Chi irons and the products aren't that great.Try a Croc Straightener, titanium is the best .For protecting your hair try Kerastase Ciment Thermique or Nectar Thermique if you have really dry hair. Put it it before you blow dry and the protection will carry over with the use of your flat iron.Does the CHI Ceramic hair straightener and thermal protection spray work well?
    Chi's arent good straightners.

try Ion Ceramic hair straightner - http://www.sallybeauty.com/flat-iron/SBS/a>

its on sale too, it works really good.
    nopeeee.

they damage your hair a lot, even with the thermal spary.

    i wouldn't recomand it.

Has anyone bought a ceramic hair straightener on ebay and liked it?

I don't recognize the brands on ebay, but really don't want to spend a ridiculous amount of money of one. Any suggestions?Has anyone bought a ceramic hair straightener on ebay and liked it?
I got a ceramic flat iron at walmart like two years ago. It gets REALLY HOT but the heat can be adjusted. And it is working perfectly fine. I LOVE IT. And, it was less than $20.Has anyone bought a ceramic hair straightener on ebay and liked it?
I bought a good brand - CHI which retails at beauty stores for $100+ on EBay and got it for a good deal. It works great. I've had a few different ones and the newest one I have which is ceramic really works the best because it keeps your hair straight and smooth all day long. I use it with a smoothing styling cream also by CHI.

How do I take care of my ceramic hair straightener and how do I clean the plates?

(I have a GHD medium styler, if this helps.)How do I take care of my ceramic hair straightener and how do I clean the plates?
they pretty much take care of themselves, you can run over them with a clean damp cloth when they are switched off and dry them with a towelHow do I take care of my ceramic hair straightener and how do I clean the plates?
wait until they are cold unplug them then wipe with some alcohol i find vodka is best, yet wasteful...anyway that should do the trick x
Somebody else posted a similar question and most of the answers were with a clean, damp towel/cloth when they're cool.

Someone else said a baby wipe when they're still warm, but unplugged.

    Good luck.
I used vinegar and it worked a treat. Put some vinegar on some kitchen paper and gently wipe over the plates. Do the same again but with water and then just let them dry.
call me a wimp but i would be very hesitant to put any ';damp'; cloth near an electrical appliance - particularly one that a) cost so much and b) i couldn't live without! the BEST way to clean ceramic plates which has been featured in all magazines and has been tried and tested by myself is either baby wipes or soft make up wipes. think about it, if they can remove last nights make up the morning after then they can remove the cack that builds up on the plates! they work a treat. also, i wouldn't recommend putting vinegar on the plates - surely it would leave a smelly residue? good luck.
I've had my ghd's for 8 years now and have never cleaned them!

I've never straightened my hair with anything on it other then serum so i don't really need to.

If you use hairspray and mouse then i would use a damp cloth on them when they are cool.

What is the difference between a ceramic hair straightener and a normal iron?

i want to get a hair straightner (under $35).

i don't know whats the difference between a ceramic one and a normal one.

my hair is already straight, but a bit on the wavy side and i want to fix bad hair days........ ^^

is a hair dryer more efficient and worth the money?

thnx! What is the difference between a ceramic hair straightener and a normal iron?
the ceramic makes your hair nicer. :%26gt;What is the difference between a ceramic hair straightener and a normal iron?
Ok so ceramic is suppose to be better for your hair and it also works better because it gets hotter.

My advice to you is buy a straightener with a heat setting on the side. Some go from 1-25 for example, and obviously using 25 will get the hottest and be most efficient. I don't think you NEED ceramic, b/c it is much more expensive, but if your not going to get one, I would highlight reccomend one with heat settings. I had one years ago by Hot Tools, bought it in a beauty supply store for like $25! It did the job. Eventually I got a ceramic for xmas but it was $160 which to me is a bit ridiculous. Try the hot tools one-its black a squarish where the metal plates are. Its the best kind for $25, you won't find anything better for that price.

Hair dryer-no. It makes your hair frizzy. Dry it first with a dryer then straighten. Use a product for best results. Something that works with heat. Ask when you go into a store.
ceramic is supposed to have a more even heat distribution, or something like that.

anyway, with a hairdryer i can get my hair to look more naturally straight. with a ceramic iron i can get a stick straight look.
A ceramic hair straightener helps to prevent any damage towards your hair. Unlike a normal one which will burn it and fry your ends.

Using a hair dryer will just make it more frizzy. I have the same kind of hair as you and I think that a small inexpensive straightener will help you out. There are a bunch of great buys at Target with some pretty low prices. Make sure you don't go too cheap, cause then it probably won't work right.
ceramic hair straightners don't damage your hair as much as a normal once would. I would spend the money on a good one because it can last your for a long time and make your hair look much more fantastic
Ceramic heats hair from the inside out so its faster and causes less damage to your hair

Normal ones heat hair normally.. from the outside in... so it takes longer and thus causes more damage

What is a good ceramic hair straightener that really works?

What kind of hair straightener is real durable and efficient and not a piece of junk. Don't care too much for the price. What is a good ceramic hair straightener that really works?
    CHI

    definently.

Excellent quality and worth the price.

You can pick one up at your local beauty store. What is a good ceramic hair straightener that really works?
I have found that glass straighteners work even better than ceramic....More importantly than the straightener, I've found, is the product in your hair prior to straightening. You need good product - I've done well at Sally's although prefer BedHead products most of all.

    Good luck!
well mine works pretty good, it's a conair i think and the price wasnt that bad, it was around $30.00
do to drugstore.com or beauty.com they have customer reviews of all the products and i have found both sites to be very helpful
maxiglide. it combs at the same time so your hair's not just flat.
If you want ceramic, make sure it doesn't just have ceramic plates. A lot of the times cheap $20 dollar ones will say, ';Ceramic Straigtener!'; But they really aren't. They need to be totally ceramic to not damage your hair.

The one I have is Coriolis Pro.

    http://www.hairstyling.co.uk/acatalog/pi/a>

It comes in pink and lavender. I like it because it doesn't damage hair and make it look burnt like some metal straigteners do.
CHI is awesome. It is pricey though but if it doesnt matter to you (like spending over $100 unless you get a good deal) then go for it. A lot of people love CHI and their products and one year they were America's #1 straightener, I dont know if they still have that title this year.
    the chi

    it cost like 120 dollas

    but it works really good

  • What is the best ceramic hair straightener?

I really wanna buy one, but i also wanna know who has the best quality...

and there's any difference between the ceramic and the flat iron ones? What is the best ceramic hair straightener?
There are 3 types of flat irons ..

    Regular Straighteners

    Ceramic Straighteners

    Tourmaline Straighteners

Regular straighteners will straighten your hair but you will lose the quality of your hair. Don't look for cheap straighteners, after all, its your hair. The heat is not controlled and the plates heat up to very high levels which may damage hair.

Ceramic Straighteners - These straighteners are good quality and 'ceramic' is an inorganic non-metallic material which is formed by the action of heat. The heat among ceramic straighteners is controlled and gives better results when used on hair. These straighteners are generally used by hair-stylists and used in salons.

Tourmaline Straighteners - Tourmaline is a mineral that is used in gem stones. Tourmaline hair straightener gives shinier and silkier results than a regular hair straightener or a regular ceramic hair straightener because of the natural negative ions %26amp; far infrared rays present in tourmaline. Tourmaline is well known mineral to increase strength of hair and strengthen the immune system. These straighteners are favorite choice of celebrities because they have to use flat irons frequently.

Brands - There are a lot of brands available these days. Sedu, CHI, GHD, Solia, Chameleon, Paul Michelle, Bio Ionic, Babyliss, Corioliss, Maxiglide, T3, etc. etc.

I have used CHI, Sedu, GHD, Solia and Chameleon so far. Chi used to be a great brand, however, it lost its popularity recently for xyz reasons. Now the best brands are Sedu and Chameleon.

The best among Sedu is the Sedu Revolution Nano Ceramic Tourmaline Hair Straightener (2008 Model)

    http://www.ironhairstraightener.com/sedu/a>

    Chameleon straightener -

    http://www.ironhairstraightener.com/

I would stick with only these two since they are the best among thousands of other straighteners. What is the best ceramic hair straightener?
I know this for a fact of experience that flat irons damage your hair and there's no going back. The best ceramics hair straightener out their is by conair. Try it out , see for yourself the difference in your hair , it straightens but does not give the usual feel of a flat iron so you know your getting results fast, because it straightens hair in one go.
I would say the CHI one. Solia straightener is not that good. It also depends on your hair. i would say that GHD would work on short hair but CHI works the best for longer hair.
i don't know the difference, and you should know before you choose which type you want, I use this one: http://www.conair-store.com/product_deta/a>
^^i use that one too.works great.don't listen to people say conair is lq.it very hq.

How can I clean my ceramic hair straightener?

When I turn it on it smells like something burning, and the plates feel greasy. I tried using rubbing alcohol but it doesnt really work, does anyone have any other ideas? How can I clean my ceramic hair straightener?
they say you can spray some windex on a paper towel and gently wipe the ceramic iron. but whatever you do just be gentle and don't use strong cleaning productsHow can I clean my ceramic hair straightener?
    use a damp towel!

How do you clean a ceramic hair straightener?

My straightener is a ceramic CHI straightener, and it smells horrible when I straighten my hair.

I think it's because of all the hairspray/hair styling wax I use.

So how can I clean a flat iron without ruining/damaging it?How do you clean a ceramic hair straightener?
only when it's cool and unplugged

use a damp cloth to wipe it down, then apple some rubbing alcohol to a cotton ball or pad and use it to remove what ever gunk is on the iron. How do you clean a ceramic hair straightener?
Clean it with a cloth and alcohol.
Wipe it off with a slightly damp cloth.
I will clean it if you pay me

Ceramic hair straightener how do you tell the difference?

I have a flat iron and read that too much heat can cause hair damage unless it's ceramic. So how do I know the difference bweetween real ceramic and companys that claim that there ceramic but not really?Ceramic hair straightener how do you tell the difference?
usually it will say it on the box i have a ceramic one and they dont burn my hair i also use the heat spray to protect it from burning so look more carefully on the box it should say itCeramic hair straightener how do you tell the difference?
Usually when it just says ceramic it means that the plate is covered with a layer of ceramic. You need something which is 100% ceramic with adjustable heat and PTFC heating unit...

And mostly these ones are not cheap.

Chi is good... But i prefere Amika#1 Herstyler#2

    Check website herstyler.com
all heat damages hair even blow driers. ceramic plates give an even heat the plates rather than the metal plates having elements under them. Most of the ceramic plates today are ceramic it's the quality the varies in brands. Always use a thermal protecting spray when straightening!

    Cheers

    Ceramic hair straightener?

So I've been looking around for a while and price is not an issue for me. So, I wanted to get a ceramic hair straightener and wanted some advice as to which one to get and to what kind of products I should use. I would prefer it if the straightener had temp control and was non-damaging. If you need to know my hair is not color treated, its naturally red and is wavy, but incredibly thick. I've been use this very cheap plastic one but it hardly works and is damaging my hair so terribly.Ceramic hair straightener?
The original CHI is a good straightener. It doesn't have heat adjustment (there is a CHI straightener that does, though), but the heat it automatically goes to is perfect. Oh and I know you said price isn't an issue, but you can save about 40 bucks on it if you buy it from BJ's or some other wholesale club like that.

Oh, and as far as products go, get a protective spray to use before you straighten your hair (brand doesn't really matter. I use CHI, but I'm not completely impressed). I also love (and I mean love) Nexxus leave-in conditioning spray. It smells great and leaves you hair silky and incredibly shiny after it dries (you use it on damp, towel-dried hair).Ceramic hair straightener?
I've been using a ceramic straightener called the Sedu- it's the best straightener I've ever owned. Unlike Chi's- you can control the actual temperature (which was the deal breaker with me) and it gets rid of static and frizz. I use it a lot and my hair is not damaged. I used it on my friend's super curly hair (which is also red and thick.....) and her hair was straightened very well.
well well!!! umm...i have the CHI Ceramic Flat Iron!!

it hasnt damaged my hair yet and it leaves my hair really silky smooth!! :D i got it from this beauty salon!! it was like 60 bucks :)

If your hair is grown out long enough from your last buzz cut, you could go with a short taper cut like this:

if it is not quite that long, go with an ivy league:

Buzz cut like David Beckham. I think that is so cute. Or a little longer with side swept bangs or a mohawk. Idk...I like a lot of them. But no long hair! That's nasty. How do girls like a mans hair style.?
umm..I don't know about other girls but I loooove the ';just rolled out of bed'; look..the hair shouldn't be too long, it's..well it's not nice..=/
    short and spikey
As a man's barber, I do a lot of what is know as Collegiate or Ivy League cuts on younger men... This is a bit long and messy, but the basic style.

    Suitable men hair style?

well, for starters i want to know what type of hair do women prefer on men? long or short?

Currently, I have short, dry but not too curly hair. But not exactly wavy either. I want to look great (new hairstyle) for an upcoming event, but the thought of dying my hair is out of the question. Any ideas to help me out?Suitable men hair style?
I don't think that women in general have a preference. It's really up to each individuals tastes. Try looking through magazines ...think about what past hairstyles you've really liked. Take any ideas to your stylist and ask her to TELL you what products to use and then have her WATCH you style your hair so she may offer suggestions. Is there anything more annoying than getting home and not being able to recreate the stylists work?

p.s. buy the products...a little bit goes a long way...you'll probably change hairstyles before you use it all.Suitable men hair style?
I could't tell you without a pic, sorry.
long hair. (to the eyebrows really) Like Zac Efron's and Jesse McCartney's
I WOULD SUGGEST A FADE. THEY ARE VERY IN TODAY AND YOU CAN CHOOSE HOW SHORT OR LONG YOU WANT IT. WITH CURLY HAIR I WOULD SAY SHORT THOUGH. AND THAT STYLE FITS INTO ANY OCCASION.
AS A WOMAN I PREFER MEN W/ SHORT HAIR, LONG HAIR IS OUT NOW .I WOULD GO TO YOUR BARBER AND ASK HIM WHAT WOULD LOOK GOOD ON YOU OR TAKE A LOOK AT SOME MAGIZINES AT SOME STYLES YOU LIKE.......GOOD LUCK MAN
I think you should keep it short and not to wavy but put just a Little bit of gel in just to give it that wet look but not to much ok. Then you will look just fine for where ever you are going.
i don't like really short hair on guys, and i don't like really long hair either. i like in between, where it's just below a the ears.
i love the redneck style.. flipped to the side an flipped up in the back..thats wat all the guys have down here
    short flat top
i myself perfer long hair. my bf has long strait dark black hair and it drives me crazy!. but because i like the rocker type boys and he plays quitar and etc. but the emo hair cut is always hot too, you just have to know how to pull it off with out looking like your trynig to hard. and the simple short spiky hair is always simple but still makes you look younge
short, but with enough hair to scrunch and give it some texture.
SPIKE my man. Then you don't have to worry about it being too dry or too wavy.....
    short
i hate long hair on men they look stupid

    Men hair styles!!!?

I have medium/long hair. I need some ideas of how to style it. I can't get to a barber or anything right now so what are some techniques in styling it? I like the punk/emo look. I think I pull it off pretty good.Men hair styles!!!?
fohawk it! that is punk rockery. here's what a fohawk looks like. just in case some people didn't know.

    http://www.niata.net/cropshop/faux_hawk//a>Men hair styles!!!?
go for the skinhead look. itll save time in the shower and less money for shampoo.
uhm get some bedhead manipulator and hairspray and put it all in ur hair, (hopefully the back is short) spike the back and pull ur bangs over one eye, take ur side backs and pull them towards the center of your face. Now where the part is in your hair pull all of your hair to the far side of your part, let only a little bit fall over your bangs. Take a small chunk of hair from your part and hold it straight up, now take a decent chunk of hair from the opposite side of your part from the back and pull it towards your bangs, but so that it heads towards your opposite eye then set that chunk by your part over top it, apply hairspray, enjoy =]

not sure if that all makes sense but yeah, do it.

I am a man and I have a pony -tail and I don't give a fig what others think about it what you see is what you get and if you don't like it tough. bothered do I look bothered look at my face look at my face look at my face bothered I'm not.';Ladies'; Do you find Pony-Tail (on men) hair style attractive.???
    EW NO omg *gags*

    Sorry but it's disgusting!!!
No, few men look attractive with a pony tail, in fact most look ridiculous.
No I actually do not like guys with long hair. All my friends that are also in their 20's do not find it attractive either. My aunt who is about 40 loves it, so maybe it depends on age?
noooo!! that is suppose to symbolize a women...while we were...yanno...it feel as if i were yanno a girl!!!!
Hmmm depends on the guy. Take Orlando Bloom for example- he looks hot when he has long tied back hair x
NO NO NO NO A THOUSAND TIMES NO i hate it as you can tell!
No offense.I just think that that long hair on a man looks so ridiculous.I don't think I have ever seen a man that looked good with long hair.Guess it's just personal preference..
    no
    Not at all.
I think hair that stops below the ears is attractive but not long enough to put in a ponytail... No.
Not particularly, a girl has to have longer, silkier hair than the guy - just as a guy has to weigh more, it's about the ego!
i dont think men should have long enough hair to put in a pony-tail you can still make your hairdoo look attractive while its short dont be a follower. but make sure your able to feel secure with your appearance.
No. It just doesn't look right.
i personally don't find it attractive, but it does suit some guys.

but it's up to them, if i were a man i would count myself lucky i still had hair lol

    =]
A definite ';No';. I find it a real ';turn off'; especially in older men. Perhaps because it is retro, looking back to hippie era. I think, ';What are you trying to say?'; Just creepy.
no way.. it looks too hippie like and just wierd
i find it repulsive, men who have ponytails are always pervs
no not my cup of tea
if its like a mullet with a long ponytail thing goin down your back then no, its gross.

you have to be semi good looking to get away with a full blown ponytail, like the drummer from system of a down. yummy!

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B3Az7JPZ6/a>
    Nooooo Ewww thats buzzing!!
    ewww.
Ugh no. There's this guy I know who actually uses scrunchies for his ponytail and it kinda freaks me out. Ponytails look better on a horse's butt than they do on a guy's head.
long clean hair on a man is gorgeous - my son is almost 21 and has long straight hair - he is at Uni although living with his girlfriend of 5 years in London - he works hard - does not party etc a clean living alternate chap
I'm a fella and i had a ponytail for years and when i had it cut off the amount of people that came up to me and say that looks a lot better was unbelievable so I'd say it not that attractive....
    No, it's looks childish.
I generally like anything from bald to shoulder length, as long as it's clean and the guy is nice! Ponytail is ok, but clean hair is the paramount thing.
Great questio. When I was younger a pony tail was very sexy, but it never quite looks as good any more. I don't know if that means my tastes have changed as I've got older or if I just don't get out enough anymore! lol
I don't find it attractive because I like guys with short hair because it's more manly. I think ponytails are for girls and when I see them on a man I think of a greasy old biker with teeth missing. haha sorry.
not at all. It is really just not attractive
if you find a pony tail lift it up there's always an ar5e underneath.

probably the best selling men's hair styling products are American Crew. check their website for salons that carry it. (www.americancrew.com) and if you really pay attention to price you'll find that most salons actually charge less than stores that sell diverted products (walgreens, target, cvs, etc.) and if you buy from a salon the products are always guaranteed by the manufacturer.Shop selling MEN HAIR STYLING WAX? iam looking for brands like Bumble and bumble, Aveda!?

    number 2 is hottt!!!

although, i used to straighten my hair and it is a pain in the *** to do every day! blow dry first then straighten, takes way to long in my opinion. you also need to compare the bone structure on your face to make sure its a good match.
Any of them besides DON'T DO NUMBERS 1 AND 3. They are seriously ugly hairstyles those two...

    Well good luck

PLEASE ANSWER MINE I REALLY NEED HELP@!!!

    http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?/a>
I prefer the second photo, then again without knowing your face shape and bone structure you can not be sure the cut will suit you, give it a try.
2nd. the others look either emo or gay where you style it too much. the 2nd looks like its straight but you kind of mess around with it and just flip your hair.
I like the 1st one. Tho that will require gel every morning. But I would say 1 or 3.
    I like the 1st, 2nd and 4th one! :)

But the 2nd one is SOOOO HOT! :) Its sexy!
the second one's pretty hot just it's slightly too long...not the first one though...no offense
i think you should do 2 but a little shorter so that u can have it down in your face or style it so it sticks out like 1
depends on your face shape but overall I like #2 the best
    2!!!! its so hot! :)

My hair isn't really that long right now, but it is long enough to get in my face while at work and it's really chore. It used to be really long, but even so, in the past 3 years I've neglected to cut it all off due to not knowing what hair style I'd go with. Here's my only recent pic...

  • The best product for men hair styling?

I'm looking for a product that can help me style up my hair -I have short hair but not too short. Most importantly I want something that can leave the hair exactly the way it looks after I comb it. I have tried many different gels and they can't hold my hair together for more than a second or two. After that the hair go their own ways (follow their roots' pattern).

Any products, harmless products? Thanks. The best product for men hair styling?
I recommend you go to a salon and asked a stylist, so you don't get the wrong product. Good luck. The best product for men hair styling?
you need to explain what type of hair you have?? is it curly? kinky? frizzy? thick?....those are the types of hair that don't hold well....

you need a tougher stronger product...

there are products all the way up to glue....

but without knowing what type of hair you have i cannot really nail it....

but you cannot go wrong with MAGIC MOVE - the ';hard'; version.... it might seem a bit expensive but it is the single best product for men- its a giant container - and it lasts a long time - plus...its good for the hair (good ingredients) the Japanese actually came up with it...

Do you want your hair to be curly but not frizzy? There are products specific to curly hair that you could use. Gels might be heavy but there are mousses and very light gels that aren't even gel when they dry. If you have money you can go to Aveda or Ulta stores for suggestions. As I said there are many options. Also, don't blow dry it, or if you do use a diffuser (an attachment you can put on the end of the hair dryer.)

Do you want it straight? That would be more work but you could use styling gel or mousse and a straightening iron.Young men hair styles?
    don't comb it or it'll get frizzy/puffy.

Growing his hair out to braid. Do a fro. Or maybe he can grow it out a tad and but a curl activator in it to make it curly.

wow, not a mullet, it depends on what u look like, if u are more of the jock/ popular/ prep type shaggy hair is hott, but not past your sholders that's too long, spiking is kinda out, u could just have a plain hot short cut, but if your hair is curly and not the afro curly thats cute, u could scrunch it with mosse if its curly, it really just depends on what u look like though, u should have atched a pic so people could have a better idea...

If I were you, I wouldn't cut my hair if your ears stick out - because long hair will always cover them. If you're desperately wanting a change, I suggest you go for a cut just below your ears so that they're still hidden - get a haircut with layers, not a bowl-cut haha.Men hair styles for ear that stick out.?

she should crunch it with mousse. if you wanna know how to crunch it, feel free to leave a message!
curl it in loose wavy curls(:
I would do long beach curls you can get a perm so they look like long beach curls everyday or you can put curlers in oyur hair at night.
    i'd crimp it

think a good hair style is a french curl.
    Can't you cut it?
She could braid it. One French braid or 2 braids on either side would be cute. She could also wear it in a loose, messy bun. For the bun, she should put some mousse in her hair and scrunch it or let it air dry. Then she'll need to section off the crown of her hair and tease it for a little height and texture. Gather the hair at the back of the head in a ponytail and secure with a rubber band. Then take the hair and loosely wrap it into a bun and pin into place. She can pull some strands of hair out of the bun for a casual look. I also like to add a hair scarf or some sort of elastic head band to go along with the bun. Trust me, this is cute!
    Crimp it. =)

If your hair is curly it should look nice. If its straight I would cut it. That is my suggestion.I have decided to keep long hairs style first time ever. help?
    Keep it Short
I did the same before. I love my long hair. Looking back at it now, I think I prefer short, but you don't have anything to lose. The only advice I can give is just tough it out. You'll hit a point where it's awkward, you can't do anything with it, and it looks bad. If you want hats will help with that. Then as it grows out more it'll look better.

    Long Hair Style?

My hair is really long, down to my waist. I want to keep it long but have a style. I went to get it layered but the stylist said my hair is too long, that you wouldn't be able to see the layers. Is that true? Any other ideas? I was thinking maybe a perm..how much shorter would my hair look if I did that? ThanksLong Hair Style?
Why dont u have a bit cut off? U could get layers aswell,i dont know what your hair dresser is on about! she just cant be bothered doing it cos u have really long hair lol!Long Hair Style?
Don't get a perm it seriously damage youre hair
Its not too long for layers I have similar hair and I have long layers you can see them just fine. I get mine cut with a razor edge so they are more deffined and wispy at the ends :)

I always try to get my layers cut like Gisele Bundchen's

Any recommendation for hair cut? I feel my hair is too pathetic.. I'm looking for a long hair style?

Baiscally i still want to keep my long hair. I have done rebond 1 yr ago.. Now the effect is still not bad.

How shall i change my hair style? I always have problem with fringe (now is short), it is always to thick.. What shall i do with it? Is long fringe easier to maintain? What style of long fringe shall i look for?

MYSELF: I got a more ractangular face, relatively small eyes. I'm in good shape and figure also. What hair style will look best on me?Any recommendation for hair cut? I feel my hair is too pathetic.. I'm looking for a long hair style?

This way you know where your hair went to, you make some kid very happya dn make them not feel as freaks and you will appreciate your hair more when it grows back........just think abnout all that you can accomplish by doing this good deed
Hi,my name is Gerri and I had the same proglem for years. I always thought I needed curl and that would give volume ect.,ect. But I accidentally found a Japanese hair stylist who really knew how to CUT not STYLE hair. I found that what looked right on me was straight not curled or waved hair. I am finally at peace! Whew!! And good luck!
I think a long layered cut with look good, just tell the stylist that u don't want to lose the length. It looks great!

    Long hair styles?

I have long hair it is down to my hips. does anyone know any hair styles.Long hair styles?
    french braid it

    ponytail it

    mermaid tail braid

    two braids, like pocahontas braids

half up (this is hard to do, but looks nice)

ponytail with hair around elastic (the more hair, the neater it looks, like a quarter of your hair arround it...to much and it looks stupid)

braid headband: start at one side of your temple and french braid across your head to the other side)

top pouf: comb your bangs back into a barret and clip

twisted braid: start at your temple and french braid across your head diagonally so the braid ends between your ear and the nape of your neck.

    good luck! hope this helps:

tip: it's easier to do the braiding styles with wethair.Long hair styles?
I have dark brown hair with slightly lighter brown highlights. I like to put loose curls just througout the colored parts of my hair, sectioning my hair in layers so I can get to most of them. it's a fun look..kinda looks like a refined ';wind blown hair'; look with the straight and looser pieces
I LOVE long hair like that!!..Im jelouse haha. Errm no theres not that much you can do realy if your hair is that long. I think you should get a sweep fringe put in though that would look well nice!! x
You could defiantley braid it. You can also put it in a bun (ballerina style, etc.)

Here is a website that might help you.

    Hope this helped! good luck!
maybe like a really high ponytail, or like a ponytail out of a bun (it's complicated, i really don't know how to do it though...lol) or like long braid/s, etc.

well you can create your own hairstyle, variations of braids. there are many hairstyle tips for long hair...oh by the way, check out hairboutique.com for long hair.Long hair styles?
if you have long hair you have to spend lots of time to care of it.
Layer it. Or curl it out like Beyonce. She has long hair (extensions) whatever but its long and it looks awesome. Look at some of her pics for inspiration!
Well, there's not much you can do with that length, unless you cut it. Or, you could do some really wild hair do's, but I guess it just depends on your style.

If it's straight you could try curling it, or if it's curly try straightening it. Again, just depends on your style.
I have hair down to my buttocks and I scrunch my hair with styling gel and hair spray. It is real easy all you have to do when your hair is wet flip your head upside down and scrunch away it looks like you have curly hair.Or just get long layers and you will be able to curl and scrunch it much easier.

So you may need to trim it a little long layers do not hurt.

I will not cut my length either.
My hair used to be about that long and all I did was put my hair in a sloppy bun. (Sloppy is the style now) I got complements EVERYWHERE I went!!
try doing updos or fancy buns once in a while.
    curl it@@
I obviously recommend putting some long layers into it. This will give the appearance of depth and movement.

I think (depending on your age/style) your hair would look good in a bun, or a french twist. This website has little videos of how to casually wear your hair up http://www.helen-e.com/instructions.htm

I also like the wide headbands, especially those that tie underneath http://doggedknits.com/wp-content/upload/a> http://www.shoprobertson.com/images/enla/a> Target has some very cute ones (located near the jewelry)

This summer my hair was pretty long (between my bra and my the top of my shorts) and my hair lived in a clip and a headband (I would twist it and fold it in half then clip it. It gave this cute 'bubble' of hair on top).

Im 13, my parents would flip if i cut my hair myself! so i want something emo/scene not TOO outrageos but something that states me! I have long hair......dark brown/reddish and i have the front sections of my hair layered....and long bangs that end at the base of my cheek bones....my hair refuses to straiten any more than it is (its already fairly strait) and it refuses to krimp or curl or do anything out of the ordionary....and stay!

    heres a pic of me

Rebel a little. Cut your own hair. Hair grows back, its not like you are doing anything permanent. Maybe your parents get mad and punish you, but will it really be that bad? So you are grounded for a bit or something. Oh well, thats life. In the grand scheme of things, cutting your own hair is a pretty innocuous thing.

edit: i hope if you do take my advice you post pictures of your hair cut in your response when you pick best answer.

I'm looking for a nice male long hair style...?

Can anyone suppose what i should use to make my hair keep its shape (hanging to the sides like here for example: http://vamps.blogs.sapo.pt/arquivo/Lestat.JPG) any suggestions are welcome ^^I'm looking for a nice male long hair style...?
There are several really nice male long hair styles out there. If you are willing to take care of your hair when it's longer, I would say either letting it grow all the same length (maybe about shoulder length) and maybe getting a long-layered cut which would not give you really short layers, but longer ones and still give you a nice style. I've seen this on guys before and it looks really good. Most salons will have hair style books that you can look in. I normally will either know what hair style I'm wanting or will look in the salon books for ideas. They always have really cool hair styles. I'm one who likes the funky styles more than the laid back kind.I'm looking for a nice male long hair style...?

do proper care,, like oil and shampoo them from time to time. set them up nicely and wear a helmet when u drive 2 wheelers or an open car.

Im in serious need of a long hair style.?

Listen, i have long hair, and id really like it to stay that way.

My mom on the other hand, HATES it. For the factor that it goes in my eyes.

Keep in mind that i am responsible, and most of the time, i find ways to keep it out of my eyes like use hairspray to make it stick above my eye.

But in the morning when im sitting like a zombie, my mom usual catches me having my hair in front of my face.....and i cant really help it, im like a brick.

So, i got a good picture, and i wanted my hairstyle to be similar to that.

Can you tell me what i need to cut, or what i need to grow.

    Heres the picture:

Growing for ....4 months now?Im in serious need of a long hair style.?
Just from looking at the pictures you're going to need to grow the back out and keep the top and front about the same as they are now, maybe just a teensy bit shorter. The sides could be a little shorter, but not much.

I'd say mess with your hair and see how much of it you can do to get it looking like you want, and you'll actually see how much is missing and where too much is...

To style it, you're going to need hair spray maybe even gel (on wet hair) or styling paste, and a comb and a hair dryer if you have one to speed things up. To get the height in your hair, lift it up and spray hairspray right at the base of the hair, near the scalp put your hair dryer on low and dry the spray, but don't blast the hair. Keep holding the hair up until the spray is dry. From that point you're going to do a little (just a tiny bit) of back combing, (just in case you don't know, that means starting at the ends of the hair, pull the comb to the scalp.) Pick up the sections around and repeat the process, leaving the outside edges to make it smooth. For the chunky look, spray the hairspray on your fingers so they're WET and pick at the ends of your hair with the sticky finger tips, grabbing small clumps.

    Good luck!
