Short hair styles help?

What are some really good styles for short hair? My hair just sits on my shoulders. I`m going to a party and I want to do my hair really nice so what would be a good idea? Like half up, half down. It`s hard to do some stuff with it because it`s shorter so help please? I don`t want to buy extensions so please don`t suggest that. Thanks!!!Short hair styles help?

A style I like to use is taking sections of hair, twisting them and pinning them to at the back of your head, it's simple, chic and easy!
