Short hair style for a round face?

I've always been told that I can't get a short hair cut because of my round face shape. But I REALLY want short hair! I've searched tons of sites and virtual hair stylers to try and find the perfect short hair cut for me, but I haven't found many that I liked. Right now, my hair is layered (layers have grown out pretty long. Shortest layer is right at the top of my ear) and it's just about touching my shoulders. I've really been considering cutting it all off, but I don't want to do anything drastic... yet. What I need is a short hair style (PLEASE, no bobs. Must be shorter than that!) that looks good on a round face shape, but is still feminine. I'm a sophomore in high school and I really don't want to get made fun of if I look like a boy (if I was out of high school, I'd do whatever I wanted!) I know that sounds bad because I'm supposed to not care, but I've got two more years in that school, and I wouldn't call my school nice at all. But I digress. I have an example photo. This one was a style that I really really liked, but I'm afraid to get it. Help (and pictures maybe?) is greatly appreciated!!!

First off, that hairstyle is super cute! Second, don't tell people what you can and can't do! I have a pretty round and very baby face, and my hair is super short. I say go for it!Short hair style for a round face?
If I were you I would go on line and type in the search bar,photos of women's hair styles for a round face.I know they have some sites on this,I would also type in photos of women's scene hair,it will show you some more ideas,if you happen to find one that you like,print it off and take it to a stylist at a salon so you can achieve the look that you want.Hope this helps you out and you find what you are looking for.
