Help with short hair styles?

I joined the Navy and leave for basic next month. Since their going to cut my hair I figured to get it cut myself so I can get it into some sort of style. Also I've never had short hair and this would be a good time to do it.

In the picture you can see I got some nice hair but its thin and a pain to style and lacks body.



So any advice for a short cut that easy to maintain and wont touch my collar?

You have very soft facial features and I think if you're going to have short hair, you might as well be bold and pull off a pixie haircut! Pixie is the new hairstyle that all the major celebs go for. Victoria Beckham, Kate Holmes, Halle Berry and Rihana are some of the celebs that have a pixie haircut. Here's some pics:

I think pixie is even perfect for military chicks. It's easy to style and you'll look fierce. Good luck in the Navy, you'll do great! When I'm finished with nursing school, I'm thinking of working as an RN for the navy...it's one of the better and safer military branches.Help with short hair styles?
A pixie cut is great! That's what I have right now. You practically don't have to do anything to style it. It's a wash, let it dry, and you're ready to go! type of hairstyle. Sure, it looks cuter with product in it, but by itself it looks fine as well. Just run a little water through it in the morning and mess it up a bit and around the sides and bangs and it turns out great!
get a pixie cut! They are cute easy to style and are great for thin hair.



Make sure you have someone or you could do it your self, who is willing to touch up layers every 2 months or so. But other than that you just ready to go (:

Since youre getting it cut short you might as well get something fun, try an angled bob! They're cute but also sophisticated.
