Can you recommend some short hair styling ideas please?

I have short hair, about 4 inches in length all around. I'm at the stage where I can keep growing it or keep it short and I am interested in trying new styles while it's still short. I usually prefer choppy, piecey/messy looks but am open-minded to most things as long as it's wearable by humans and not just fem-bots.
