What are really fashionable or really pretty short hair styles?

Hair as short as your chin to as long as your shoulders!What are really fashionable or really pretty short hair styles?
I like the kind which is really short in back, almost buzzed, then is layered to get longer and longer towards the front. It also tends to curl inwards and sometimes has a spike on one side. I believe there's a specific name for this style but I can't think of it.





I'm not one much for short-ish hair but this one I really like because it has a sassy, artistic, almost punky look about it whereas many short styles look conservative and sometimes dull.





Naturally, this would work best if you have a somewhat intense, lively personality. If you are more sedate it might not be for you. But since we don't know we can only take educated guesses about these things ;-)What are really fashionable or really pretty short hair styles?
